Artist's Comments

The first prophet, or maybe Dionysus against Penteus. Perhaps the great inquisitor, or simply a truce trickster. A "conformity enforcer", anyway, that looks at you.

Thank you. I don't know as well why this image gives me such a sense of accomplishment. I think it will fulfil me for a while ...

Your welcome, look forward to seeing what else you come up with =)

Yeah, that’s very interesting: a comment like yours (in another place) made me eventually understand how this image can be seen by others in a much less “serious” way than I did. In other words, the resulting connotations can be very different in regard to those I wanted to search with this image. Of course this unintended difference is the root of naivite, or even of “kitsch”, but if you engage some degree of representation you cannot avoid this risk.

I ONCE SOLD A PAINTING ABOUT ESCOTERIC JUDAISM THEMES TO A WONDERFUL WOMAN WHO SAW JESUS IN IT. WHO ARE WE TO EXPLAIN OUR WORK DOWN TO ONE POSSIBLE MEANING? IF THEY LOVE YOUR DARK,INTROSPECTIVE WORK BECAUSE IT REMINDS THEM OF KITTENS, MAYBE IT IS ABOUT KITTENS, AND YOU DIDN'T KNOW IT. I LIKE YOUR WORK, YOUR HARSH,INKY LIKES SEEM SOMEWHAT DALINIAN TO ME
